Tactic Definitions

Gaslighting: Undermining someone’s perception, memory, or reasoning instead of engaging the claim.

Falsehood: A factual claim that contradicts verified evidence.

Whataboutism: Redirecting criticism by pointing to a different issue instead of addressing the original claim.

Projection: Deflecting accountability by accusing your critics of the same behavior.

False Equivalence: Treating unequal actions or situations as though they are equally significant.

Flood the Zone: Creating information overload through rapid, high-volume narrative churn to fragment attention.

Moving the Goalpost: Changing standards of proof after evidence is presented.

Game Mode

You have 60 seconds. Choose the tactic as quickly and accurately as you can.

• +10 points for a correct answer
• -15 Focus for a wrong answer
• Game ends when time hits 0 or Focus hits 0

Scoring & Levels

Scoring: +10 per correct. Wrong answers reduce Focus by 15.

Levels are based on score + accuracy in 60 seconds:

• Observer: low score or low accuracy (needs more practice)
• Finding Patterns: starting to recognize structure consistently
• Reading Between the Lines: accurate even when examples are subtle
• Staying Focused: strong accuracy under time pressure
• Critical Thinker: high score and high accuracy under pressure
